<<7 C's for SUCCESS>>
1. CONFIDENCE: People who exude confidence have more success in life.
We judge a person's confidence by so many factors: they way they dress;
the way they look at us...making direct eye contact; the way they stand....upright,
shoulders back; they way they talk...using a calm, clear voice; their
positive attitude...and much more.
How do we develop confidence? Confidence comes from experience,
maturity, skill development...and self esteem building with the 8 A+
System. There are times we may not feel confident, but if we "fake
it 'til we make it"..or "act as-if".. we can create an energy field that
connects us with confidence. (see newsletter issue #30)
2. COMPETENCE: Competence comes from continual learning and knowledge,
developing skills, gaining experience. The more we focus on these
factors, the more competent and successful we will become.
3. CREDIBILITY: The more trustworthy and dependable we are, the more
credible we will be. It takes a lot of time to develop your credibility....and
only an instant to lose it! How do you develop your credibility?
Be on time, respond to email/voice mail immediately, do what you say you
are going to do, keep your promises (beware of "over-promising" and "under-delivering").
Credibility breeds success.
4. CONSISTENCY: You only need to look at McDonald's to understand the
success consistency; people value what is consistent because they can depend
upon it...you know what you're going to get: consistent service, consistent
food, consistent cleanliness. How can you be consistent? Provide
a consistent service: be there when you are scheduled to be; deliver the
service when promised; when you make a commitment, keep it!
The book, <The E-Myth Revisited>, focuses on the success stories of
businesses who are consistent. Successful people are consistent too:
you can predict their consistent positive performances and responses; you
can depend upon them to be available; they keep their promises! People
value familiarity; they feel comfortable with what they know.
Being consistent ensures success.
5. CHOICE: Successful people know that everything they do or have
is THEIR choice; they take responsibility for their behaviors and
don't blame others. Every time you tell yourself you "have to" or
"must" or "should" do something, realize that this is your choice. We choose
our responses and our behaviors; we choose our relationships; we even choose
our attitudes. By choosing positive behaviors and attitudes we can
be incredibly successful!
6. CARING: Successful people really care about other people...they make
an effort to give to others...to listen to others, to reach out to their
community. Caring involves empathy, consideration, selflessness,
generosity....qualities that are attractive and admirable.

and remember, when we care about others, they care about us.
7. CAN DO Attitude: Successful people have a CAN DO! attitude
- they trust that they can do whatever they put their mind to...they GO
FOR IT! ...they take Risks!....they believe in themselves.
